PC: Keyboard input delayed - that may be the reason
There are several reasons why keyboard input on your computer may be delayed. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
First aid: Input on the keyboard is delayed
- If your computer is overloaded, keyboard input can arrive quickly with a delay. To do this, check the load in the Task Manager. If the problem occurs for the first time, simply restart the computer.
- Connect the keyboard to another USB port. If you are using a Bluetooth keyboard, disconnect and then restore it.
- Check whether the problem only occurs in a specific tool such as the browser. If the input works in all other programs, check the affected program for errors and reinstall it.
Keyboard: Input works very slowly
- Open the Control Panel and select the "Ease of Access Center" under the "Ease of Access" category. Under "Make keyboard operation easier", deactivate the "Activate keystroke" option. This function is activated, for example, by holding down the Shift key.
- With external keyboards in particular, the problem is mostly related to incompatible drivers. Find the latest driver for your keyboard on the manufacturer's website and install it. Alternatively, you can update the driver via Windows.
