Import PDF to Libre Office
With LibreOffice you can easily import and edit PDF files. We'll show you exactly how this works here.
How to import, edit and export PDFs to LibreOffice
- As of version 3.3, you can easily import PDF files into LibreOffice via "File"> "Open". All you have to do is enter the file name when opening or set the format to "PDF" or "All files".
- You can make small changes in the imported PDF file. The only drawback: Like most PDF import programs, LibreOffice does not recognize line breaks. To do this, you can at least move the individual lines and headings as text frames and edit them as required. This also applies to all picture and graphic elements.
- You can then save the finished document in its original format using "File"> "Export as PDF".
You can download LibreOffice free of charge in our download area. The instructions refer to version 4.3. The procedure does not differ in older versions up to and including LibreOffice 3.3. LibreOffice no longer provides plug-ins for PDF import for earlier versions.
