Edit PDF in Paint - is that possible?
In Paint, PDFs can only be opened and edited indirectly. We show you how it works. However, it is easier for you to do it with other tools such as the free image editing program GIMP: Here you can import the PDFs directly as an image file.
Edit PDF in Paint - is that possible?
- The free classic image editing software "Paint" from Microsoft offers many different features, but you cannot work with PDF files directly here.
- However, if you convert the PDF file into an image format, you can later benefit from the easy operation of the Paint. In the next section you will read how to proceed.
Change PDF files with Paint - so it'll work
- To edit a file with Paint, it must be in an image format such as JPG or PNG. To convert the document, you can use the free tool "PDF2JPG".
- Then open the new file in Paint. Here you can now paint over information yourself with white color and instead correct it with a text field.
- After the changes, you can convert the file back into PDF format. This is also not possible with Paint, we recommend the "PDF Creator" tool.
Tip: To edit individual sections or graphics of a PDF document, you can mark them and use Copy & Paste. You can find the complete instructions here.
