Insert arrow into Excel - this is how you find the character
In Excel you will find subtle arrows for your spreadsheet under the special characters.
- After you have opened the "Insert" tab, go to the "Symbols" area in the ribbon and click on the "Symbol" icon.
- In the symbol menu, set the "Normal text" option for the "Font" and select the "Arrows" for "Subset".
- There are at least eleven different versions of the arrows, so that most needs should be covered.
- Double-click to integrate the arrow into your Excel spreadsheet. Alternatively, click on the "Insert" button.

If you want to back up the data in your spreadsheet with arrows that immediately catch your eye, you will also find it in Excel.
- With these arrows, Microsoft offers you several design options. In Excel, you can not only color cells - Excel's illustration arrows can also be highlighted in color and provided with text.
- To find the arrows, first go back to the "Insert" tab. In the "Illustrations" area you will find the arrows under different points.
- After selecting the "Shapes" option, you will find the "Block arrows" area in the pull-down menu.
