Juicing apples: this is how it works
Juicing apples yourself beats any apple juice bought. With or without a juicer, a freshly squeezed apple juice is the perfect start to the day.
How to juice apples with a juicer
If you have your own juicer at home, you can easily juice apples yourself.
- Wash the apples and remove the seeds. Peeling is not necessary, since juicers let the juice run through a filter anyway.
- Apples turn brown very quickly if they have air contact. Add some vitamin C or lemon juice to prevent tanning.
- Juice the apple in the juicer and drink directly. You shouldn't keep your apple juice for a long time, as the fresh flavors evaporate quickly.
No juicer? No problem!
Even if you do not have a juicer, you do not have to do without self-pressed apple juice. With a household mixer, you can also get to your destination.
- For this method, you should peel the apples because they are easier to mix. Then remove the core casing, cut the apples into small pieces.
- Mix the apples in a blender until they get an even mass. Again, you should add vitamin C or lemon juice for tanning.
- Now put the mixed apples on a handkerchief or tea towel. Now squeeze out the juice by turning the cloth. This gives you a fresh, lump-free juice that you can eat straight away.
