- Pick up a glass of any size and fill it with water.
- Roll up two sheets of kitchen paper and place one end on the potting soil. Put the other end in the glass with water.
- If the plants are larger, you can also use a towel and a bucket of water. Make absolutely sure that the amount of water adapts to the needs of the plant.
Water plants with PET bottles
If you want to be absolutely sure, buy a finished irrigation attachment for PET bottles. So you can be sure that at least small plants get their vacation over enough water.
- The bottom of the bottle has to be perforated or completely cut off so that no vacuum is created.
- You can then set the intensity with which the water should be dispensed on the attachment. This is particularly interesting for plants that don't need a lot of water, such as cacti.
