Photoshop: delete selection - how it works
If you edit your photos with Photoshop, you have various tools at your disposal to delete a selection. This practical tip shows you which tools are available in the image processing program to quickly delete image details.
How to delete unwanted image details in Photoshop
Before you can eliminate details or entire areas from your photos, you must first mark them.
- If the selection to be made is relatively rough, you can use the rectangle or ellipse selection tools. However, if you would like to make a somewhat finer selection, the lasso offers itself, with which you can precisely drive along the selection.
- If you want to delete color areas, the magic wand is probably the best choice.
- Once you have selected your selection of the area to be deleted, click on "Edit" in the menu bar and then on "Delete". Alternatively, press the backspace key in Windows and the backspace key in MacOS.
