Whiten teeth in Photoshop Elements
To whiten a person's teeth with Photoshop Elements, use the following steps.
- Start Photoshop Elements and open the image you want to edit.
- So that you can work the teeth well, it is recommended to enlarge the image section.
- Then select a selection tool on the left such as the magic wand or the lasso from the vertical toolbar and use the Shift key to mark the teeth.
- Don't forget to mark the interdental spaces. If you accidentally include other areas such as the gums or lips in your selection, you can remove them by holding down the ALT key.
- After you have selected the complete tooth section, click on "Revise" and "Adjust color" in the menu bar and go to the option "Adjust shade / saturation". Here you can move the saturation control to the left and the brightness control to the right until you have reached the desired tooth pattern.
- Tip: Set the brightness control to a maximum of "+15" for natural teeth whitening. To assess the result, it is advisable to zoom out of the image section again.
