In this practical tip, we explain how to smooth lines with Photoshop. This is especially necessary for hand-drawn strokes.
Smooth out lines with Photoshop - so go ahead
- In the Photoshop menu bar, under the "Filters" entry, click "Blur Filters".
- Select the "Gaussian blur filter" here.
- Experiment with the Radius value that is right for your picture. However, a low radius usually gives suitable smoothing effects. If the value is too high, your images usually appear very blurred.
- You can then select the "Unsharp Mask" option under "Filters" and "Sharpening Filters".
- With this you can get another tone out of the picture. If you increase the "Strength" value, the picture becomes clearer again and the lines are smoothed.
