Photoshop with green screen: how it works
In Photoshop, the green screen is already one of the professional methods for taking a picture. In this practical tip, we will show you exactly how this works.
Photoshop with green screen - so it'll work
Note: If you take a photo with a green screen, make sure that the entire scene is sufficiently exposed.
- It is best to illuminate the person in front of the green screen using a softbox so that there is enough light.
- After you have shot the image, open it in Photoshop and right click on the layer as it is locked for the time being.
- This unlocks the level and you can start. Under "Mask" click on the small mask symbol with the "+" sign.
- Then select the "Color range" button and check "Localized color groups" and "Invert".
- Then use the eyedropper to click in the small preview image and then right-click in the large image.
- Repeat this process until you get a transparent image. You can make minor adjustments with the so-called transparency controller.
- If there are still shades of green remaining from the green screen, select "Greenish tint" under "Hue / Saturation". Then move the Saturation slider to the far left to remove the remains.
