Photoshop: set landscape format - how it works
There is no separate function for setting the landscape format in Photoshop. We'll show you how it's easy.
Photoshop: Create a new picture in landscape format
You switch to landscape format by creating a new image in the desired format via "File"> "New".
- Select "DIN formats" as default and "A4" as size. Then simply swap the values for "Width" and "Height" and confirm with "OK".
- Alternatively, you can of course determine the size information yourself.
Crop image into landscape with Photoshop
If you want to convert an existing picture into landscape format, you can crop the work area accordingly.
- To do this, simultaneously press the [CTRL] + [ALT] + [C] keys.
- Now set the width and height. For a landscape format, the values should be 16: 9 - for example 1600 x 900 px - or 4: 3 - for example 1600 x 1200 px.
