In order to remove the transparency around a photo with the image processing software "Photoshop", you have to crop the work surface. And this is how it works:
Remove transparency in Photoshop
In the professional photo editor "Photoshop" you can adjust the size of the work surface to the size of your picture. This can create a transparent pixel frame, which you should remove before saving your photo. Here's how to remove the transparent pixels quickly and easily:
- Start "Photoshop" and open your already edited image, which has a frame of transparent pixels in the form of a checkerboard pattern. You cannot use commercially available Photoshop tools to select this transparent area and then remove it. You have to cut it to fit.
- Click the "Crop" option in the menu bar under the "Image" tab to remove the transparent pixels. A small command window opens.
- In this window, specify the pages on which the transparent pixels should be removed and confirm with "OK". Your image will then be re-cut and displayed without a transparency frame.
- Tip: If you save your image with the file format "png", the transparency is retained and you can continue working with the photo better.
