Photoshop: zoom - how it works (also with mouse wheel)
With the Photoshop CS versions, you can no longer zoom with the mouse wheel by default, as you may be used to from the older versions. Instead, you now have to use the zoom tool or a keyboard shortcut. We explain how to find and use it. Read below how to re-enable mouse wheel zoom.
Photoshop: How to zoom with the magnifying glass tool
- In the tool overview on the left of the screen you will find a magnifying glass symbol at the bottom. Click here to select the zoom tool. Use the left mouse button to zoom into the picture.
- In the top bar you can choose whether you want to zoom in or out with a left click. You will also find practical quick fields here, for example to zoom in on the actual pixel size.
- With a right click in the picture you can call up a small submenu, via which you can also zoom in and out and use "Fit on Screen", "Actual Pixels" and "Print Size".
Photoshop: Zoom via keyboard shortcut
- Alternatively, you can zoom in with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl and + or zoom out with Ctrl and -.
Photoshop: Zoom with the mouse wheel
