Picasa: export facial recognition - is that possible?
With Picasa Face Recognition, you can assign photos to individual people. If you want to export the images and transfer them to another computer, read here what to do.
Transfer Picasa pictures - so you keep face recognition
There are three different ways of transferring Picasa images with facial recognition:
- Copy folder: Open the "% LocalAppData% \ Google" directory and copy the "Picasa2" and "Picasa2Albums" folders to the new computer. After installing Picasa, you can paste the folders in the same place on the new computer.
- Create backup: With "Tools"> "Back up images" you can create a backup of all or selected photos and save them to a USB stick or burn them to CD.
- Sync with Google: Add the images to a folder and upload them to the web album using the green arrow at the bottom of the screen. If you then download the folder on the new PC, face recognition is still available.
