Create playlists with the VLC Media Player
Many users do not know that the VLC media player can be used to create your own audio and video playlists. We'll show you how it's done.
Create a playlist in the VLC media player
- Right-click an audio or video file. The context menu opens - there click on the item "Add to VLC Media Player playlist".
- If this entry is not available, start the VLC player and simply drag the file into the player. This creates the playlist and has your first entry.
- Now you can add various other videos or songs to the list by right-clicking or drag & drop. Tip: If you want to insert several files at the same time, hold down the "Ctrl" key and click on all the desired titles.
- You can arrange the individual files as you wish within the playlist. Simply drag them up or down with the mouse.
- The playlist can now be started and stopped as usual. You can also put individual songs in a continuous loop using the buttons on the bottom bar, skip them or start random playback in the playlist.
- If you want to use the list later, you can save it using the key combination "Ctrl" + "Y".
