Playlists can be created in a variety of ways on the Android phone: You can do this with almost any music player or use a separate Android app for music playlists.
Two sample apps: How to create playlists with your music player
You can usually manage playlists with any music player app. However, the Android apps all differ slightly here. We show you how to create playlists using "Google Play Music" and the standard music app from HTC phones:
- Google Play Music: In the music library, you can start with any item - such as an album or a single song. Next to the music element you will see an icon with three dots that will take you to the "Add to playlist" item (see screenshot). If you click on this, you can create a "New Playlist" in the next step. You can add more tracks / albums using the same method.
- HTC Music app: Under "My library", select the third icon at the bottom to go to your playlists. At the top right you will now see a plus that you click on. Then enter the name for your playlist and then select "Add track to playlist". Then click "Save" to create your playlist.
My Playlist Maker for Android phones - You can also use this to create playlists
To create new playlists on the Android phone, there are also special Android apps in the Google Play Store. This includes the free "My Playlist Maker" app.
- The free Android app can automatically create music playlists based on folder structures. For example, if you have divided your music into individual folders by artist, you can use the tool to create multiple playlists in no time at all.
- Alternatively, music playlists can also be edited manually.
Tip: If you use the online music service "Spotify", we will show you here how you can move offline playlists to the SD card.
