PlayStation 3 has slowed down - you can do that
Enjoy the best entertainment and some exclusive titles on PlayStation 3. But after a few years, the console may have slowed down. Find out in this practical tip what you can do about it.
PS3 is slow - what to do?
If the console has been in use for several years, the working speed can drop noticeably. You can then do that:
- Make sure that all console fans are exposed so that sufficient fresh air can be drawn in.
- In addition, you should not place the console too close to the heater or other warm objects.
- If you have stored media such as photos, videos or music on the console, you should connect an external hard drive and save it there. Then reset the PS3 to make the console faster again.
- Alternatively, you can also replace the hard drive in the console and thus install a faster data storage.
- If you still have a warranty on the console, you should claim it from the dealer and replace the PS3.
- You can also try to rebuild the PS3 database. This is done via the recovery menu.
