PlayStation 4: How SHAREfactory works
With the SHAREfactory app for your PlayStation 4 you can create videos and upload them to the internet. We'll show you how to cut your first game video.
PlayStation SHAREfactory: start a project
The first thing to do is to start a new project and select files for your own video.
- After you have created a new project, you can choose a design. SHAREfactory automatically searches for suitable introductory and closing videos for you. You can also choose the neutral SHAREfactory or PlayStation designs that suit each game.
- The next step is to choose the clips you want to use for your video. Sort all files on the left side, in the middle window you can select clips with the X key. You can recognize marked videos by the gear icon. In the lower left corner you can see the total length of your selected clips. You can add a maximum of 40 video sequences with a total length of 20 minutes.
- When you have added all clips, you can give your project a name: To do this, press the square button on the controller. Then the processing starts.
PlayStation SHAREfactory: basic video editing
- Start by getting your videos in the right order. To do this, open the options for a clip using the square button and select "Move clip". You can use the L1 and L2 buttons to change the position of the clip and then confirm with the X button.
- Next you need to cut your clips. Select a sequence, open the options and go to "Clip Clip" this time. Use the L1 and L2 buttons to narrow down the section and confirm with the X button.
- In the "Edit FX" submenu, you can equip your clip with many funny special effects: add stickers or speech bubbles, put a filter on the video, or underline your actions with text - there are no limits to your imagination.
- In the "Edit Music" menu, you can underlay your video with InGame songs or your own songs from your music library. LetsPlayer can even record audio comments and then insert them into the clip.
- In the end, you can watch the video again by clicking on the touchscreen of the PlayStation 4 controller. When you're satisfied with the result, click the Options button on your PlayStation controller and select "Save to Gallery". If you want to continue working on the project later, you can also select "Save project".
- The video will now be rendered by your PlayStation, this process may take some time depending on the video size. You can then view the video via the gallery app on your PlayStation 4 and share it from there like any other video on Facebook or YouTube.
