Connect Playstation 4 to PS3 controllers
Sony is turning away from its traditional PS3 controller and is launching the new "DualShock 4" with the PlayStation 4. We'll tell you here whether you can do without this and connect older controllers to the PS4.
New PlayStation, new peripherals: DualShock 4 replaces the PS3 controller
Sony explains in its own FAQ that PS3 controllers cannot be connected to the PlayStation 4. If you replace your old console with the new model, you must also separate yourself from the tried-and-tested PS3 controllers. For this, Sony PC gamers are accommodating. The PlayStation 4 gamepad can also be connected to computers using a USB cable.
