PlayStation Vita: Set up parental controls
You can set up parental controls on the PlayStation Vita so that your children only play suitable games. We will show you how to activate and set up the function.
Set up parental controls based on USK ratings
The parental control application is located on the live screen of the PlayStation Vita and can be started from there.
- After you start Parental Control, you need to set a passcode so that only you can access the settings. If you forget your passcode, you will need to restore your PlayStation Vita system.
- Now select the "Games" category. Slide the slider from left to right to choose from different security levels.
- The USK logos show you which games with the following ratings are approved for your children.
Set up parental controls for system functions and playtime
In addition to games, you can also lock special functions or set the game time.
- Under "Features" you can block the Internet browser, the PlayStation Store and the use of location data by applications. This ensures that your children do not surf unsuitable websites or make purchases on the PlayStation Store themselves.
- The category "playing time" allows you to limit the playing time with the PlayStation Vita. You can set a general game duration per day or even limit the game time for each day. For example, you can allow longer seasons at the weekend, while limiting the seasons during the week.
