The Pokémon games still delight young and old. Now you can even catch the little monsters in Google Maps. We'll show you how to upgrade to the Pokémon Champ through the card app.
The way to master: Catch all Pokémon in the Google Maps app
If you catch all 150 hidden Pokémon by Wednesday, April 2nd, Google will give you a position as Pokémon Master. Of course, this is not serious, but a Google Easteregg for April 1st. However, you can still collect the Pokémon:
- Install the latest version of Google Maps on your Android smartphone or iDevice.
- Start the app and tap the search field. Select "Start" there to start the Pokémon Safari.
- You will now be taken to the virtual Pokémon laboratory in Switzerland. You should already find the first Pokémon here. Tap the little monsters and then the Poké Ball to catch the animal.
- Now the fun really starts: Scroll through the world map and search for all 150 Pokémon. Tip: Press the search field and choose "View Pokédex" to see your current progress.
If you have caught all 150 Pokémon, you are well prepared for the right editions: In Pokémon black and white you can even find legendary Pokémon.
