Pokémon Tekken: the 5 best tips
In Pokemon Tekken, Nintendo's pocket monsters compete against each other in the typical Beat'em Up manner. Read here which tips will help you to benefit from the heated fights.
1. The Ferrum League
The Ferrum League forms the campaign in Pokémon Tekken and is divided into four leagues: The Green, Blue, Red and Chroma League. There you will meet increasingly stronger opponents who are particularly suitable for training.
- Not only the training is worth it, but also the unlockable Pokémon that you will receive during the league. In addition to a fighter, you will earn other arenas and helper Pokémon there.
2. Tips on fighting
- With each Pokémon, you can perform standard attacks (A button), shot attacks (Y button), chase attacks (X button) and jumps (B button). These are the basic attacks with which you harm the opponent.
- In addition, there are three other attack principles that you should internalize: Griffin attacks prevail against counter attacks, while standard attacks counter attacks and counter attacks counteract standard attacks. The tactical use is crucial for the outcome of a fight.
3. Initiate phase change
With certain attacks, you trigger a phase change from the two-dimensional battlefield to the three-dimensional one - and vice versa. This change is of strategic importance, because in the duel phase (2D) you automatically deal more damage, while in the field phase (3D) you have more freedom of movement.
4. Execute limit strokes
- Use the limit mode by simultaneously pressing the L and R buttons while the limit bar is filled (bottom left). Your bar fills up automatically when you land hits. In this mode, your Pokémon is temporarily stronger than usual, so you should try to attack as much as possible.
- In limit mode, it is also possible to execute a particularly powerful limit stroke by pressing L and R again. This attack draws a lot of energy from the opponent and is definitely worth it.
5. Training in Pokémon Tekken
Use the tutorials, free fights and the maneuver and combo dojos to train. Especially in the dojos you get to know the individual Pokémon better and familiarize yourself with their individual techniques.
