Pokemon Go: take arena - Here's how
On the way to becoming the best trainer in Pokemon Go, you cannot avoid arena battles. Here we explain how to take up your own arena and even become an arena leader yourself.
Capture the arena in Pokemon Go
On the map in Pokémon Go you will not only see the numerous Poké Stops, but also repeatedly large symbols with which the arenas are marked. Here you can compete against other players and possibly even take over the arenas.
- You must first reach level 5 and join one of the three teams before entering the arena battles. Then nothing stops you.
- There are three different scenarios that determine how easily you can take over an arena.
- If the arena is gray, nobody has taken it and you can place a Pokémon in this arena without resistance. In such a rare case, you immediately became a successful arena leader.
- However, most arenas will no longer be gray, but blue, red or yellow - depending on which faction is currently defending this arena. You can take over arenas from your as well as from the foreign factions.
- If a seat in an arena that is currently being occupied by your team is free, you can simply place one of your Pokémon in the arena.
- It is important that no Pokémon species can be represented twice in the arena. For example, if your teammate's Heiteira is already in the arena, you cannot send your Heiteira to the arena.
- To take over an arena from another team, you have to defeat all Pokémon in it and reduce their motivation to zero by fighting. As soon as the heart shaped motivational display goes blank, the Pokémon must leave the arena.
- The opposing team can counteract this with berries and increase motivation again. The motivation also decreases with the length of time a pocket monster defends an arena.
- If there are no enemy Pokémon left in the arena, they will turn gray and you should quickly populate them with your own Pokémon.
To become a good arena leader, you need strong pókemon with many competition points. Rare, highly developed monsters are suitable for this. We'll tell you where to find Pokémon and how to get candy and stardust to make them more powerful.
