Some Pokémon are very rare in Pokemon GO. In this practical tip, we reveal which pocket monsters are particularly popular and how you can increase your chances.
Rare Pokemon in Pokémon Go
In the first place are the rare starter Pokémon. In contrast to the "Legendary Pokémon" listed below, they are available in the usual way.
- The starter Pokémon Bisaflor is one of the rarer Pokémon. It is the final development of Bulbasaur and Bisaknosp. Another is Charizard, the third stage of development of Charmander and Glutexo. Turtok evolves from the starter Pokémon Schillok.
- The second-generation starter Pokémon and their further developments ( Meganie, Tornupto, Impergator ) can only be found very rarely in the wild. The same applies to the third generation starters ( Geckarbor, Flemmli, Hydropi ).
- By the way, in the latest version of the game, the weather seems to play a bigger role in Pokémon hunting. In fog, for example, ghost and unlight Pokémon appear everywhere. Schneppke and Firnontor were sighted more frequently in the snow .
Legendary
A large part of the legendary Pokémon can be caught in Pokémon Go during raids. Others can be earned in so-called special research. You will receive the relevant orders from Professor Willow.
- Legendary Pokémon of the first generation are Mew, Arktos, Zaptos and Lavados . When and where the legendary psycho-Pokémon Mewtu will be available again is currently unknown.
- The legendary Pokémon Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh and Celebi are currently available from the second generation.
- The third generation includes Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi and Deoxys .
- The fourth generation are waiting for Selfe, Vesprit, Tobutz, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus .
- The fifth generation has cobalt, terracium, viridium, boreos, voltolos .
Poké Eggs
You can often find the rarity of a Pokemon on the egg in which it was hatched.
- Pokémon that come from the 10 km eggs are usually very strong and are rarely found in the wild. Relaxo, Lapras, Dragoran or Garados, among others, hatch from such an egg.
- The new degree of rarity "hyper rare" refers to pocket monsters that hatch from an egg with a 0.2 percent chance. These are currently the Pokémon Woingenau, Girafarig, Dummisel and Pottrott .
Regional Pokémon
There are Pokémon that only appear in certain regions. So far, the distribution was roughly divided into continents. With the introduction of the second and third generations, some countries have now been established.
- First generation: Porenta (Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan), Kangama (Australia, Papua New Guinea), Pantimos (Europe), Tauros (North America).
- Second generation: Skaraborn (South and Central America, Texas, South Florida), Corasonn (tropical latitudes in America, Africa, Asia and Australia).
- Third generation: Qurtel (West and Southeast Asia), Sengo (Europe, Asia, Australia), Vipitis (America, Africa), Lunastein (Europe, Asia, Australia), Sonnfel (America, Africa), Volbeat (Europe, Asia, Australia) ), Illumise (North America, South America, Africa), Tropius (Africa, Middle East).
- Fourth generation: Pachirisu (Canada, Alaska, Russia), Plaudagei (Southern Hemisphere ), Venuflibis (Southeastern USA).
"Shiny" Pokémon
Shiny Pokémon are very popular with Pokémon GO players - but also extremely rare. As a rule, shinies can be recognized by stars that sparkle around the Pokémon.
- The glitter Pokémon can usually only be found with a lot of luck and effort. The tricky thing: A shiny is not recognizable on the map, but only in the snap screen.
- Shinies are also individual. If two players catch the same Pokémon, it may look normal for one and "shiny" for the other.
- Shiny versions are available, for example, from the pig Pokémon Spoink and its development Groink or also from Pii, Piepi, Pixi, Kussilla and Rossana . Zapdos, Arktos and Lavados are currently only available in the shiny version.
Once you have caught the little monsters, you have to take care of them. The next practical tip will show you how to revive Pokemon.
