Pokemon GO: Find and use development stones
Since the second generation found its way into Pokemon GO, certain pocket monsters can only be developed with development stones. We reveal where you can find the coveted stones and how to use them correctly.
Pokémon GO: All development stones and Pokémon at a glance
A total of 80 new Pokémon were added to Pokémon GO with the second generation. You get a large part of it through developments. However, sweets are no longer enough, you also need one of the following development stones.
- Dragon Scale: Develops Seemon to seedraking, which requires an additional 100 Seeper candies.
- King-Stein: Develops Quaputzi into Quappo together with 100 Quapsel candies and Laschoking together with 50 Flegmon candies.
- Metal sheath: This enables you to develop Onix into steelless, which also requires 50 Onix candies. Alternatively, the stone can be used together with 50 Sichlor candies for a development from Sichlor to Scherox.
- Sonnenstein: The Sonnenstein turns Duflor together with 100 Myrapla candies into Blubella or alternatively Sonnkern together with 50 Sonnkern candies into Sonnflora.
- Up-Grade: This evolution stone evolves Porygon into Porygon2, requiring 50 Porygon candies.
Find development stones in Pokémon GO
The five new development stones are only available at PokéStops. The so-called drop chance, i.e. the probability that you will receive an evolution stone, is very low. It may take a long time to find a stone. With a little trick you have your first evolution stone after a week at the latest:
- To do this, rotate at least one PokéStop on seven consecutive days.
- On the seventh day you will receive a random development stone in addition to countless bonus items.
- Which stone you get in this way cannot be influenced.
Pokémon GO: Use development stones correctly
If you have found a development stone and also caught one of the basic Pokémon mentioned above, you can start the development.
- To do this, tap on the Pokémon and then on the "Develop" button.
- Now you have to swipe the development stone at the pocket monster.
- Development then starts automatically.
In addition to the development stones, you need numerous candies for each development. In another game tip, we'll reveal which tricks you can use to collect candy in Pokémon GO very quickly.
