Pokemon Go: Catch Charizard - Here's how
The fire Pokémon Charizard has been one of the most popular pocket monsters since the first generation. You can also catch it in Pokémon GO. We show you where to find Charizard in this game tip.
Catch Charizard in Pokémon GO
Charizard is the further development of Glutexo, which in turn comes from Charmander. Therefore you can develop Charizard yourself at any time. All you need is 25 Charmander candies for the first and another 100 candies for the second development.
- Alternatively, there is a very small chance of encountering charizard in the wild. Since the fire Pokémon is one of the rarest pocket monsters in the game, the probability remains very low.
- If you still want to search for Charizard, you should first bring the highest possible trainer level. This will make stronger and rarer Pokémon appear on your way.
- You should also look especially in residential areas, farmland, farms, gardens, grass, courtyards, nature reserves, parks and forests. These are the areas where Pokémon of the Flight or Fire type are common - Charizard has both of these types.
Pokémon GO: Catch Charizard in raids
Since the arena update in June 2017, you can also catch rare Pokémon - including Charizard - in so-called raids.
- To do this, tap on the icon with the wild Pokémon at the bottom right and switch to the "Raid" tab.
- There you will see all currently active raids in your area. In the preview you can already see from the outline which Pokémon you can fight. With some entries only a big egg appears - here you have to wait until the time shown to recognize the Pokémon behind it.
- Now run to the arenas shown with Charizard and start the fight.
- Now it's time to be patient - Raid Pokémon are very strong and difficult to defeat. It is best to start with several friends.
- Once you have defeated Charizard, you will receive some Poké Balls that you can use to catch it. To ensure that nothing goes wrong here, we have put together the best Pokémon GO catching tips for you.
