Use Pokemon Go with root - how it works
If you have rooted your Android smartphone, you have not been able to use Pokemon Go for a long time. We'll show you how to bypass the lock.
Play Pokemon Go with root again
With the AutoMagisk tool, the root rights are deactivated when Pokemon GO is started and reactivated when the app is exited. This process only works on Android smartphones from Android version 5.0. Unfortunately, this detour is not exactly easy:
- First, undo the installed root. This is the only way Magisk can run on your Android smartphone.
- You can now flash Magisk using custom recovery. Downloads and instructions can be found on the XDA-Developers website.
- If Magisk was flashed, you still need a compatible root. Here you can either access Phh's Superuser or SuperSU in the Magisk version. The downloads and instructions can be found on the same website below.
- Your smartphone is now ready to use AutoMagisk. Read on in the next paragraph.
Pokemon Go: Bypass Root Lock
Note: In the current version of SafetyNet, AutoMagisk is recognized and blocked in the previous versions. When and whether the application will find a new loophole is currently still unclear.
- Download AutoMagisk and install the app on your smartphone. Here we show you how to install an APK file on your phone.
- In AutoMagisk you will now find a list of all apps and services. Activate Pokemon Go there.
- If you then start Pokemon Go, you will receive a notification that root rights have been deactivated. Pokemon Go now starts as usual.
- Note: If you wish, you can deactivate the permanent notifications in the other AutoMagisk settings.
