- In December 2017, the new version 0.85.2 (Android) and 1.55.1 (iOS) released 50 new third generation Pokémon.
- The new pocket monsters include the starters of the Hoenn region and their developments: Geckarbor, Flemmli and Hydropi.
- In addition, some third generation Pokémon mingle with raid bosses, Shiny Pokémon and hatch from eggs (e.g. Eneco, Spoink, Fiffyen, Knilz, Trasla).
- The remaining third generation Pokémon are to be implemented gradually. With the introduction of the Hoenn Pokémon, weather effects were also brought into play.
