Not only in older Gameboy games, but also in Pokémon GO you can catch a red Garados and use it to fight. In this article, we reveal where and how you can get to the rare Shiny Pokémon.
Obtained Red Garados in Pokémon GO
Since developer Niantic added new Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO, the infamous red Garados has also been around. Ultimately, this is just a normal Garados with a different color.
- However, the shiny version of the water Pokémon is extremely rare. In theory, with a little luck, you might encounter a red Garados on the street. However, since the probability of encountering a normal Garados is almost zero, this applies all the more to the Shiny variant.
- You have more chances of getting the red Garados with a shiny carpador. This is sand-colored and develops into a red Garados with just 400 Carpador candies.
- But the likelihood of finding a shiny carpador is also very low - especially since you can only see on the catch screen whether it is the different colored version. You should therefore catch every carpenter that appears on the map.
- So that it doesn't take that long, you can also use lock modules and activate smoke. As a result, significantly more wild Pokémon appear. If you use these two items on rivers or other bodies of water, quite a few carpors will appear in a short time. With a little luck, a shiny version is included.
