Pokemon GO jerky - you can do that
Pokemon GO jerks more or less strongly, especially when catching the Pokemon and when scrolling in the menu. We'll show you what you can do about the problem.
Pokemon GO: app jerky
- In the first few days after the release, Pokemon GO's servers were heavily overloaded. At times almost every player was affected by jerking. A lot has improved in the meantime.
- A large part of the stutters is due to the performance of the app or the poor performance of the servers. The performance of your smartphone also plays an important role.
- If your smartphone belongs to a somewhat older generation, the stutters can sometimes not be avoided. If the mobile phone is not powerful enough or is currently overloaded, the app will jerk. Android smartphones should have at least 1.5 GB of RAM for smooth gaming.
Fix jerks in Pokemon GO
If Pokemon GO jerky on your smartphone, there is relatively little you can do about it. However, further performance updates by the developers and the following tips can limit the jerking as much as possible.
- The augmented reality function when capturing the Pokemon not only consumes a lot of battery, but also computing power. Deactivate the function at the top right when catching the Pokemon to minimize the jerking.
- Do not leave other apps running in the background and do not switch to other apps during the game. As a result, the already scarce resources are given up for other tasks.
- To ensure that Pokemon GO runs as smoothly as possible, switch your smartphone off and on again. Now start Pokemon GO. The app on your smartphone cannot run more smoothly than now.
