The most important thing in Pokemon GO is your trainer level. Therefore, you should increase this as soon as possible. In this article we clarify which tricks will work and what advantages you can expect.
Increasing the trainer level in Pokemon GO - that's what you get
Unlike in previous Pokemon editions, you no longer have to level each Pokemon individually in Pokemon GO. Instead, the strength of your pocket monsters depends on your trainer level. Overall, you can expect the following advantages with a higher trainer level:
- The higher your level, the stronger Pokémon you can catch. The Pokemon that appear have more CP. This makes them harder to catch, but also stronger in fights.
- Each level-up also gives you rewards such as potions, animators, super or hyperballs.
- There are also new features at certain levels. From level 5, you can join a team and compete in arenas, and from level 8, lock modules can be used for the first time.
Pokemon GO: Raise Trainer Level Quickly
To raise your trainer level to the next level, you have to earn XP. The number required for the next level increase increases with each trainer level. XP is available for the following actions:
- Catch Pokemon: Catch any Pokemon and get 100 XP. Throw the Pokeball, if the colored catch circle is particularly small, you will receive up to 100 additional XP. There is 10 XP for a Curveball and if you even catch the Pokemon in the first try, an additional 50 XP will beckon.
- Extend Pokedex: If you catch a new Pokemon for the first time, a Pokedex entry will be created. There is 500 XP extra.
- Fight: If you defeat a Pokemon of your team in an arena, you get 10 XP. If you win a fight against another team's Pokemon, you will even get 100 XP. For each additional Pokemon defeated in this arena, the XP number increases by 100: for the second victory you will receive 250 XP, for the third 350 XP and for the fourth 450 XP. If you can defeat all Pokemon of the opposing arena, you get 100 XP.
- Developments: Develop Pokemon, you will receive 500 XP each. If you do not yet have the new Pokemon, you will receive a one-off 500 XP.
- Scalded eggs: For every new Pokemon hatched from an egg, you receive additional XP. The exact number depends on the eggs. You get 200 XP for a 2 km egg, 500 XP for a 5 km egg and 1, 000 XP for a 10 km egg.
- Pokestops: At Pokestops you not only get items, but also always some points. That is always 50 XP per Pokestop. For the first pokestop of every day, there are also 1, 000 XP. If you spin at least one Pokestop every day for a week, there will be 2, 000 XP instead of 1, 000.
