At Pokemon Go you will find the information XL and XS next to some Pokemons. The meaning is not clear to many Pokemon trainers - for good reason. We'll show you what's behind the information.
XL and XS in Pokemon Go: These names exist
- So far (as of July 21, 2016) there are only the two details XS and XL - no information in between.
- The two hints only appear in some Pokemons and can stand next to the value for size and weight.
Pokemon Go: That means XS and XL
- It is striking that the names XS and XL only exist for some Pokemons. But they are not much heavier or lighter or larger or smaller. For example, our pigeon boss with a size of 1.04 m got an XS (see picture), but the much smaller meowth with a size of 0.44 m has no name at all.
- We also noticed this in terms of weight: our Fukano with 31.23 kg is considered an XL, while the approximately equally traumatic with 31.3 kg has no XL. In addition, each individual Pokemon has its own size and weight values, so that not even two Fukanos have the same values.
- The labels XL and XS have little to do with the actual size or weight. There are therefore various theories on the Internet:
Theories about Pokemon Go: That could mean XS and XL
- The first theory attributes certain properties in combat to the Pokemons with XL and XS: For example, XL Pokemons should have more HP, while XS Pokemon attack faster (KP points).
- A Reddit user has analyzed his Zubats and uploaded this graphic to Imgur. He comes to the conclusion that size and weight have nothing to do with HP and KP.
- Another popular theory is that XL Pokemons can do more damage in combat.
- In contrast, XS Pokemons should be able to dodge better.
- XL and XS Pokemons could also be interesting for medal hunters. Anyone who has caught many Pokemons with such labels should be rewarded with additional medals.
