Configure pop-up blocker in IE
Like every browser, Internet Explorer also has a pop-up blocker. If you wish, you can activate or deactivate it and adapt it to your needs.
Configure the pop-up blocker in Internet Explorer
- Start Internet Explorer and click on the small gear icon in the top right corner.
- Select the "Internet Options" item there.
- A new window opens in which you click on the "Privacy" tab above (see picture).
- There you can activate or deactivate the pop-up blocker below.
- On the right you will find the "Settings" button. Here you can now enter individual websites on which pop-ups should still be permitted.
- You can also select the "Show notification bar when a pop-up is blocked" item to make this happen.
- Another function is the blocking level, which can also be configured there. Here you can set the level of the blocking level from low (only allow pop-ups from secure sites), medium (deactivate most pop-ups) to high (block all pop-ups).
