Like most browsers, Google Chrome with a popup blocker prevents annoying popups from appearing. On some pages, however, this can be disadvantageous.
Find and configure popup blockers in Chrome
- Start Google Chrome and open a page of your choice.
- Click either the lock or leaf icon to the left of the URL, whichever is displayed (see image).
- Under "Permissions" you will now find the "Pop-ups" option.
- There you can choose between the following three actions. In general, the first option "Use global standard (block)" should be activated. If you want to activate popups for certain pages, open the page, repeat steps 2 and 3 and select the second option "Always allow on this website". If you have disabled standard blocking, you can use the third option to allow popups from selected pages.
