Canceling a Postbank account: On-site at your branch
Before you cancel your account at Postbank, make sure that you are not in the negative range. You should also keep in mind that you can no longer cancel a cancellation.
- You can cancel your Postbank account directly in your branch. You will receive a form on site, which you fill out with your details and a reference account to which the remaining money should be transferred.
- You can also have the remaining credit paid out directly in your branch and then initiate the cancellation.
- Processing usually takes a few working days, but will be completed by the next month at the latest.
- You can also easily cancel your Postbank account via our partner Aboalarm. There are pre-formulated termination letters in which you only have to enter your personal data (see below).
- Then print out the form and send it to Postbank.
- If you do not want to take care of sending the letter yourself, Aboalarm offers a cancellation service, costs (depending on the payment method) EUR 3.49 or EUR 4.49. Proof of termination is included in the price.
