Postbus: Rebook a trip - you have to be aware of that
If you have booked a ticket for a Postbus, you may also be able to rebook it. This practical tip tells you what you have to do and what costs you incur.
Change the ticket for the Postbus
It is no longer complicated to rebook a ticket for the Postbus. However, you have to pay attention to a few small things:
- It is very important for the rebooking of the ticket to adhere to the time limit. You must have made the change or cancellation no later than twelve hours before departure.
- You can contact various places to change or cancel the ticket. On the one hand, you can make the rebooking directly with Postbus customer service. The service number 01806 972797 is available from Monday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. You pay 20 cents from a German landline and up to 60 cents from a German mobile network for each call.
- You can also contact the customer service of the long-distance bus via email at or fax number 0228 - 97 27 27 98. However, the telephone hotline is the better way, especially for short-term changes.
- Alternatively, you can go to a Deutsche Post branch or contact an ADAC office.
- In addition, there must still be free spaces on the long-distance bus for the new travel date.
- However, timely rebooking is not entirely free of charge. You pay five euros to rebook the trip with the Postbus.
- If the rebooking did not work, you still have the cancellation of the ticket. However, that would cost you 10 euros per ticket.
