Powerpoint: insert current date - how it works
If you give a PowerPoint presentation on different days, you can insert a date field that updates itself automatically. So you don't have to edit your slides every time.
Insert current date in PowerPoint
Whether header, text field or on the edge of the presentation - in PowerPoint you can place the current date anywhere on your slides.
- To do this, start PowerPoint and click where you want the date to appear later.
- Then switch to the "Insert" tab above.
- In the "Text" section, click the "Date and Time" option. A new window is opening up.
- Find the desired display format from the list and confirm with "OK".
If you would like the date to be automatically displayed on every slide, put it in a header or footer. This article is based on Microsoft Office 2007.
