PowerPoint: Change the resolution of slides
Read how to change the resolution of your slides in Microsoft PowerPoint.
Change slide resolution in PowerPoint
Especially in the case of a presentation with many image-heavy slides, it makes sense to lower the resolution of the slides. This ensures that the slides can be loaded faster and your presentation runs smoothly:
- Start "PowerPoint" first and open your document for which you want to change the resolution.
- Then go to "Slide Show" in the menu bar and click on the right arrow at the "Resolution" option (see picture).
- Set a desired resolution for your PowerPoint presentation. Note that the level of detail of your slides decreases the smaller the resolution.
- Start a test run of your slide show with the [F5] key and check whether you like the selected resolution for your slides. If necessary, simply change the resolution again.
