Animate diagrams at PowerPoint - so it'll work
You can animate the diagrams as you wish so that you do not present the diagrams to your listeners with one click and may overwhelm them. The information is shown individually, step by step. Here's how to do it:
- Select the 'Insert' item in the tab and then click the 'Diagram' button. A window opens in which you can now select the desired diagram type. Confirm your selection by clicking on 'Ok'.
- In the next step, an Excel table opens automatically, in which you now have to enter the data for your diagram. Enter your dates and categories and confirm your entry. The diagram is created automatically. If you want to enter less data or categories, you can change the selection using the marker.
- Select the 'Animations' in the tab, click on the diagram and then on' Add animation. Here you choose how the diagram should appear. An animation has now been added to the diagram. As soon as you click, it will appear in your presentation.
- So that you can animate the individual bars and thus loosen up your presentation, you must now select the 'Animation area' next to the 'Add animation' button. The area opens to the right of the displayed slide, there you select the small arrow next to your added animation. Open the 'Effects Options' with one click.
- Under the effect options you can make the settings for your presentation. In the 'Chart options' area you can define the switch-on order of your bars, for example by category or by data series. Select the options you want.
- You will also find the 'Display duration' item under the effect options, where you can set the start and delay of the individual bars. For the optimal settings, you have to start the presentation and check whether you have to shorten or extend the set time. The size of the bar is particularly important. By clicking on 'Ok' you confirm your selection and your diagrams are animated.
