Create a PowerPoint handout - how it works
You can also create a great handout directly in PowerPoint and then distribute it to your audience. Powerpoint can automatically create a line for notes, as well as a header and footer. In this practical tip, we will show you exactly how this works.
Create and print out handouts with PowerPoint
Note: These instructions refer to PowerPoint 2010 and may differ slightly from other versions.
- First, open your presentation with PowerPoint.
- Then select the "File" tab in the top left corner and then click "Print".
- Now a print menu appears and next to it the current print preview. Via the item "Slides" you can set which pages of your presentation should appear on the handout. Separate the list of pages with a semicolon, for example 2; 5; 7; 8; 13; 15.
- Below you select how many foils should be able to fit on a handout. You can also decide whether the handout should have a margin or not.
- If you would like to create a header or footer, click on "Edit header and footer" below and enter the relevant data.
- Finally, set whether the presentation should be printed in color, with grayscale or in black and white.
