Save the PowerPoint presentation as an HTML file
If you want to save a PowerPoint presentation as an HTML file, you do not need an additional program. Depending on the version and version of Office, you have to go a different route. We'll show you how it's done.
Save the PowerPoint presentation in the usual way as an HTML file
This way only works with Office 2003 and some "Professional" versions of newer versions.
- Open the PowerPoint presentation and click on "File" or the Office button at the top left of the window.
- Select the "Save as" item there.
- Click on "File type", select "Website" there and click on "Save".
- The presentation is now saved as an HTML file.
Save PowerPoint presentation as a detour as an HTML file
If the instructions above do not work, you have to do it differently:
- Open the PowerPoint presentation and simultaneously press the "Alt" and "F11" keys on your keyboard. Now the Visual Basic for Applications editor opens.
- If you now press the two keys "Ctrl" + "G", the "Direct area" opens at the bottom. Enter the following there:
- ActivePresentation.SaveAs "C: \ Users \ XXX \ Desktop \ Filename", ppSaveAsHTML, msoFalse
- You must replace the entry "XXX" with your user name. You can also set the "file name" yourself.
- If you then click on "Enter", the presentation will be saved in HTML format.
