PowerPoint: Show presentation on two screens
In this practical tip, we explain how you can display your PowerPoint presentation on two screens.
View PowerPoint presentation on two screens
With "PowerPoint" you can, among other things, play your presentation on two screens. We show you how to do this:
- Open your presentation in "PowerPoint"
- Click on the "Slide Show" tab in the menu bar and then on "Set up slide show". A new window opens (see photo).
- In the section "Multiple monitors" under "Show slide show to:" set the option "Screen 2PNP monitor (standard)".
- Then put a tick in "Presentation view". Please note that these settings are only available when you have connected the second monitor or projector.
Share your PowerPoint presentation with two screens
As soon as you have ticked the "Presentation view", you get to the display menu.
- If you have connected to a projector using the key combination [Ctrl] + [P], you only have to set the "Expand these displays" setting for "Multiple displays". Finally, confirm your entry with "Ok" (see screenshot).
- Alternatively, you can select the "Duplicate these ads" option. The presentation also appears on both monitors, but Windows also duplicates all your other activities on the second screen.
In the next practical tip, you will learn how you as a speaker can insert notes that are only visible to you into your PowerPoint presentation.
