PowerPoint: Start Presentation - All Ways
Most users start a PowerPoint presentation the traditional way using a mouse. We will show you alternatives that, among other things, have a more professional effect on the audience.
Start PowerPoint Presentation - There are these ways
- The most intuitive, but also most striking, is still starting your presentation with the mouse. In PowerPoint 2013, click on the "Slide Show" tab.
- On the left side you will find the options "From the beginning" and "From current slide". The latter function can also be called up directly using the icon at the bottom right of the screen (see screenshot).
- You can also perform the same functions with a shortcut without a lot of clicking. You can call up the "From the start" function by pressing the F5 key. For "From current slide", additionally press the Shift key.
- If you do not want your presentation to open in edit mode, save the file as "PPSX" and not as "PPTX". If you then run the file, you will land directly in presentation mode on the first slide. This saves you having to start it explicitly with a click of the mouse or a key combination.
