Powerpoint: Change the default font - how it works
When you start PowerPoint, the standard font is automatically activated. We will show you how to change this in our practical tip.
Permanently change the default font in PowerPoint
Unfortunately, you can only change the font in PowerPoint for individual slides. With a little trick you can still change the standard font:
- To do this, open PowerPoint and click on the "Draft" tab.
- There, click on "Fonts" next to the design templates.
- Now select your preferred font and click on "Save as" in the "File" tab.
- Select "blank" as the file name and "PowerPoint template" as the file type.
- The path automatically changes to the Microsoft templates. For security you can compare this again with the one in the screenshot.
- Save the empty presentation there. If you now restart PowerPoint, your set font will automatically be used.
- You can also delete the "blank" file under the specified path and thus return to the original standard font.
Powerpoint makes your life unnecessarily complicated, and not just with the standard font. In the next article we will show you the most annoying functions of PowerPoint.
