Outlines allow you to record main and sub-items on your slides in PowerPoint. We'll show you how easy it is.
Create sub-items in PowerPoint
How to create sub-items with PowerPoint from version 2010:
- Start a new presentation in PowerPoint and navigate to the "View" tab.
- In the Presentation Views group, click Outline View.
- Enter a name for your presentation next to the rectangular slide symbol and confirm this with [Enter].
- You have now automatically created another slide.
- Enter a title for the new page and also confirm with [Enter].
- Another film is first created. This is important because the new film will be converted to sub-items in the next step.
- Press the [Tab key] to create sub-items in the current slide.
- The line is indented and you can now enter the text for the subitem.
- If you press the [Tab key] several times, indent the dots further.
- End the entry again with [Enter].
- You can enter further sub-items in the same way.
- Once you have added all the sub-items for this slide, press the [Shift] + [Tab] key. How to move up one level again.
- You can then create new slides.
