Powerpoint: Words and characters count - how it works
As in all other Office programs, you can also count the words and characters of your presentation in PowerPoint. We'll tell you exactly how this works in this practical tip.
Count words and characters in PowerPoint 2007 and earlier
- Click on the Office button at the top left and select the "Prepare" entry from the menu.
- Then select the "Properties" sub-item.
- Now click on "Document Properties" above your slides and then on "Advanced Properties".
- In the "Statistics" tab you will now find the number of your slides, words and characters.
Count words and characters in PowerPoint 2010 and later
- In PowerPoint 2010 and newer, click the "File" tab.
- In the area on the left you choose the entry "Information".
- Then click on "Show all properties" at the bottom.
- Here you can see the number of your slides, words and characters listed.
