Prezi: Create presentation template
With the alternative presentation software Prezi you can create templates for your screen slides. This saves you work and gives your slides a high recognition value. You can read how to create such Prezi templates in this practical tip.
Create templates for your own Prezi topics
Presentations gain recognition due to uniform specifications for fonts and graphic elements. If you have a logo in every setting, the web-based Prezi presentation software is a serious alternative to MS Powerpoint.
- Start Prezi and open a blank presentation. On the following "Choose template" screen, click "Start with empty Prezi".
- Now click on the "Customize" tab in the menu bar to open a selection window with various Prezi themes. Since you want to create your own theme as a template, click on "Advanced". This will open the Prezi "Theme Wizard".
- With it you can select the background color or images of your presentation, the font and the font color for headings of the 1st and 2nd level as well as for the body text. You also specify the colors of various design elements such as frames or arrows. If you use a Pro, EDU-Pro, Enjoy or EDU-Enjoy account, you can also upload your own logo using the Theme Wizard, which appears in the place of the Prezi logo.
- You can use the theme wizard in two modes. Click on "Wizard" to work with a user-friendly, graphical interface. For example, you can select colors using color palettes. You can access the various design options in Wizard mode, by using the "Next / Back" buttons to switch between the three sides of the wizard.
- In the "Advanced" mode, you have all design options at a glance and can define colors using the RGB code. You have even more options if you open the Prezi CSS editor in advanced mode. To do this, click on the "Use the Prezi CSS Editor" button. You can also use this editor as a user of a free Prezi account to include a much larger number of fonts in your template.
- Once you have made all the settings for your template, end the Theme Wizard by clicking on "Done". If you now select "Save current theme" in the right side column, your theme will be available as a template for all future Prezis.
You can present and share Prezis both online and offline. You can read about the steps involved in the practical tips "Watch Prezi presentations online" and "Save Prezi as PDF"
