Samsung Kies system requirements
Before installing Kies, make sure that your PC meets the requirements.
- OS: Windows XP (SP2), Windows Vista, Windows 7 and newer. Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
- CPU: An Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or higher is recommended.
- RAM: At least 1 GB
- Storage space: at least 500 MB
- Screen resolution: 1024 × 768, 32 bit or higher
Keep Samsung Kies system up to date
"Sasmung Kies" uses some Windows components and software from other manufacturers for a proper range of functions. Therefore, make sure that your system is up to date.
- Windows: Run "Windows Update". You can find this in the "Control Panel" under "System and Security" -> "Windows Update". Install optional updates, if available. In this way, you keep the important software platform "Microsoft .NET Framework" and "Windows Media Player" up to date.
- Programs: To use Kies properly, you need to install the latest version of "Java", "Adobe Flashplayer" and "DirectX". For the latter, find out whether your graphics card supports the latest version.
- Driver: The most important thing for the synchronization between your device and Kies is the driver. This is supplied with the installation. However, the driver can still be faulty. Therefore, check whether gravel is up to date. Update the program under "Help" -> "Check for updates".
