Program opens outside the screen - what to do?
Even if a program on Windows suddenly opens up off the screen, you can bring it back to your screen with just a few clicks. To do this, go through the following steps.
Program outliers quickly brought back on the screen
First of all, you should check whether - possibly accidentally - a second display device is activated. To do this, simultaneously press the Windows logo key [Win] and [P]. If you only work with a PC or laptop, "PC screen only" should be active, ie highlighted. If this did not solve the problem, it is best to do the following:
- Press the ALT key [ALT] and the tab key [Tab] simultaneously to get an overview of all open program windows. You can also see programs that were opened outside the active window.
- Keep [ALT] pressed and use the arrow keys to navigate to the program that you want to make "visible" again. Alternatively, you can click the program in the task bar.
- In the last step, hold down the [Win] key and use the arrow keys to get the desired program back on the screen. You may need to press the arrow button (one way) a few times until you reach your destination.
