Programmable vacuum robots clean independently where you want and when you want. Our comparison presents three top products and shows strengths and weaknesses.
Programmable vacuum robot Vorwerk Kobold VR200
The Kobold VR200 from Vorwerk is one of the stars among the vacuum robots. He took first place at Stiftung Warentest.
- Programming scope: For each day of the week, a specific time can be set in which your robot vacuum cleaner cleans the apartment. The room is recognized and vacuumed by laser. There is the normal cleaning mode and an eco mode for all or only certain rooms. You can also use a spot mode to have areas of 1.5 meters x 1.2 meters vacuumed.
- Carefulness: The goblin moves the room systematically and not accidentally. If the battery is empty, it drives to the charging station independently and starts later from where it left off. Corners, edges and carpets are also no obstacle. With a magnetic stripe you can optionally draw boundaries.
- Price: With around 750 euros, the Kobold is one of the more expensive vacuum robots.
Vacuum robot iRobot Roomba 620 - the bestseller
The iRobot Rooma 620 is the bestseller on Amazon:
- Programming scope: Here, too, you can set a time for each day of the week and select two different modes: the normal cleaning mode and the spot mode, which cleans only a certain point intensively. You can program a maximum of one cleaning for each day.
- Care: The Roomba 620 has no problem in clearly divided rooms. However, the suction line in rooms with many corners seems to be chosen quite arbitrarily. However, the iRobot usually recognizes particularly dirty areas and sucks there particularly often. However, many users complain that hair, among other things, is not well absorbed.
- Price: At around 300 euros, the Roomba 620 is an affordable robot vacuum that works quite well.
Vacuum robots from Miele with perseverance
The Scout RX1 is the first vacuum robot from Miele and is impressive:
- Programming scope: With four cleaning modes, Miele offers the most choice: "Auto" mode for standard cleaning, "Spot" for targeted cleaning over 1.8 meters x 1.8 meters, "Corner" for additional vacuuming of the edges and Corners and "turbo" with little dirt. A daily cleaning time can also be programmed.
- Carefulness: Mieles robot vacuum can last up to two hours straight. Cleaning can be worse in the dark because the camera relies on light. In the Stiftung Warentest test, however, the robot vacuum cleaner did not clean well on carpets. Some users also complained about a low suction power.
- Price: The Miele vacuum cleaner costs around 500 euros and is therefore in the middle price segment.
